Andrew Gorecki, DPT - Physical Therapist/Owner
Andrew received his bachelors in exercise science from Northern Michigan University and continued his education at Central Michigan University where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). Andrew recently came to the area from Grand Haven, MI, where he worked mainly in a outpatient orthopaedic setting working with patients and athletes ranging from foot and ankle injuries, knee and hip dysfunctions, shoulder pain, and spine dysfunctions. Andrew specializes in functional applied science which originates from internationally acclaimed physical therapist Gary Gray where he analyzes biomechanical dysfunctions in order to realize the true cause of your pain. Ben graduated from Michigan State University in 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2010. He recently moved to Traverse City from the Detroit area where he worked in the outpatient setting treating patients and professional, collegiate and amateur athletes with various dysfunctions.
Ben enjoys working with patients of all ages and his areas of interest include functional exercise, manual therapy and post-surgical rehabilitation. He believes that continued education and keeping up with current evidence based therapy practices allow his patients to reach their goals in physical therapy. Keith received his athletic training degrees from Lake Superior State as well as a Masters in Exercise Physiology from Northern Michigan University. Since then Keith has worked in Alaska for two years in a physical therapy setting. Keith has been in Traverse City, MI for six years in various physical therapy settings. Most notably Keith has worked along side the Traverse City Wolves football team, Bay Reps Hockey, Grand Traverse Firefighters, Special Olympians and various high school and collegiate athletes. Mary Emma LaCross, DPT – Physical Therapist
Mary Emma graduated from Aquinas College in 2009 with a Bachelors degree in Biology and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University in 2013. She is from Traverse City originally and moved back recently after living and working in the Detroit area. Mary Emma spent most of her clinical and work experience in the orthopedic and pediatric settings She would love to blend these two areas together and work with young athletes not only in treating current injuries but in prevention and education as well.
Mary Emma has been married to John LaCross, a teacher at Traverse City St. Francis High School, for three years. Together they have one very active and fun-loving one-year-old son named Benjamin. Mike Swinger, MPT – Physical Therapist
Mike received his Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Evansville in southern Indiana. He is originally from the Grand Rapids area, where he worked in outpatient setting for 8 years, and recently moved to the area. Mike has extensive training in manual therapy and enjoys working with athletes of all ages. He has especially gained expertise in working with runners, with individualized run form coaching and seminars for teams and community groups. He believes in finding the root cause of pain and dysfunction, rather than simply treating the symptoms. Mike and his wife, Sarah, a Leelanau county native, have two delightful and active little girls, Adele and Clara. In his spare time, Mike enjoys being outdoors with his family, competing in triathlons, and woodworking.

Erin Gorecki, Office Manager/Marketing Specialist
Erin received her bachelors in marketing from Northern MichiganUniversity. After completing school and moving away from her hometown of Marquette she jumped into retail management and shortly thereafter into a marketing management position which is where she has remained with the Superior Physical Therapy team. With experience in marketing, design, event planning and management Erin fills our need for the Office Manager and Marketing Specialist positions.
Erin enjoys hiking with her husband and their dog Petey, running outdoors, refurbishing furniture and is hoping to get back into a regular routine of dance classes here in the near future as dancing is something she has always loved.

Tracey attended Bowling Green State University with a scholarship as a collegiate swimmer and has past experience as a swim coach. Tracey and her family moved to Traverse City in 2007. She is married and has three boys to keep her on her toes! She likes to stay active on a regular basis by hitting the VASA trail whether it be skiing or running. In the summertime her and her husband enjoy being out on the water and relaxing at the yacht club while spending time with friends.

Eric Shutler, CPT, IYCA, CAFS – Personal Trainer
Eric is a native of Traverse City and graduated from Traverse City Central High School. After high school, Eric received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Northwestern Michigan College. In addition, Eric received his personal training certification through Blue Heron Academy along with a national certification in American Council of Exercise (ACE). Eric has completed a Level 100 International Youth Conditioning Certification as well as a certification in Applied Functional Science. Eric specializes in functional speed/agility/strength and power while working with all athletes.
Along with numerous area athletes, Eric has worked with the following groups:
